What are you doing right NOW?

logo

You probably don’t even realize it until you stop yourself from whatever it is that you are doing and ask yourself - What am I doing, and is this something that is productive and will make me more money?

I thought I’ll start a list of activities that most internet entrepreneurs do daily, and categorize them as productive or unproductive in my business.

Funny thing is I am able to come up with the unproductive activities easier than productive ones

Feel free to add to the list.

Productive:

  • Write content for site/blog
  • Write articles
  • Improve/split test sales copy
  • Write my next product
  • Blog commenting
  • Writing software requirements
  • Keyword research
  • Rewrite PLR article/content
  • Seek out link exchange partners
  • Sell!

Unproductive:

  • Checking email (what a time waster!)
  • Excessively checking Adsense stats
  • Excessively checking my CPA affiliate accts
  • Excessively checking my Google Analytics (only to find out my traffic hasn’t changed a bit since the last time I checked)
  • Browsing the WSO (no offense to anyone )
  • Check out what people are saying in the Main Discussion
  • Going on Facebook
  • Going on Youtube

Feel free to chime in!

I am turning off commenting on my blog

logo

Okay, I’d like to make an official announcement that I will be closing down commenting on my blog.

The decision was made because I’ve been receiving more spam comments than legitmate ones and it’s taken too much of my time to filter them out.

However, this does not mean that you can not leave a “comment” really.  This just means that the only way to “comment” on my blog is through trackbacks.

Let me explain what a trackback is.

Imagine 2 bloggers, Ben and Jerry.

Now, let’s say Ben posts something interest his blog, and Jerry wants to leave a comment on Ben’s blog post, but also wants Jerry’s readers to know that he has left a comment on Ben’s blog.

Jerry can achieve this by making a post on his blog and trackback to Ben’s blog.

If both Ben and Jerry are using Wordpress blog platform, Jerry can simply insert a link back to Ben’s blog post and Ben will be notified of a trackback.

Now, Jerry’s readers can follow the link to Ben’s blog post, and Ben’s blog post will show a trackback in the comments section of the post.  Essentially this becomes a reciprocal link.

Having that said, please use trackbacks to leave a comment on my blog!
