With Rosenel's permission, I've posted the question above because I feel like it's such an important and frequently asked question that deserves a blog post of its own.

If you are just starting out on the online passive income journey, I highly recommend you LEARN and PRACTICE developing and marketing information products.

In order to succeed in this avenue, you need to have the heart of a teacher.  If you suck at teaching, keeping LEARNING and PRACTICING - funny to tell teachers to learn and practice, isn't it?  :)

So, what are information products, and how do you develop and market them?

Information products take many forms.  Most notable is an ebook, or electronic book.  Ebooks are easy to develop.  All you need is a basic word processor like Microsoft Word.  You can then sell that document online, and your profit margin is pretty much 100%.

I get the "Are you serious?" a lot when I tell people that there are actually people crazy enough to pay for an ebook when there are so much free information on the internet.

"Yes." is what I tell people and I further explain that free information are put out by information product marketers to pre-educate the visitors and prime them up to get them ready to buy their ebooks, or click on ads of relevant products or services.

Then people I talk to go "Ah-Ha".  This is the essence of education marketing - you teach people with free information you publish on your site, you gain their trusts, and you recommend your premium information for a fee.  Kind of like how a community college brochure will have a list classes with a description of what you will learn, and how much it costs.
