One of the key points that Adam Short (the genius behind NPC) emphasized in the first few training videos is to understand the factors that drive the spending habits of consumers. He recognizes that goods and services related to fitness, improved health and well-being, and better finances seem to always go up the list next to what we consider as our family’s basic needs.
I think he’s right! When you search for diet pills and diet products on the net, the results will soar because so many people really want to look good. So despite budget constraints, they’d buy goods or avail of related services anyways.
But creating a winning website that specifically targets on this niche can be challenging because other people also regard this niche as a possible gold mine. So tough competition is a given. What Adam then suggests is for us to find related keywords with equal income generating potential. If you’re curious how, the answer is simple- you need to ...

When I was told by Steve that we were both going to embark on a new project, I was both excited and anxious. I don’t have that much faith in myself about anything related to computers so starting Niche Profit Classroom is a HUGE step.
When I first started the introductory video, I was shocked to find that everything that you will ever need in building a successful website is contained in the NPC package! What an amazing course! I first read through the testimonies of the other people and I was excited to start.
Level 1 – Core Training
The introduction videos for Level 1 Core Training focused more on ...

A quick announcement - There will be several case studies that will be documented on this blog, under the "Case Studies" category.
So, what is it?
Long story short - I just talked my long-term employee into getting started with building her first niche product website. I upgraded my NicheProfitClassroom (NPC) membership so it allows me to add employees to access the same training and the software to build profitable niche sites as you would from a regular membership.
Her name is Heiza, and she will be making regular contributions to this blog (Please welcome her when she makes her debut). She will share with you what she learns from NPC, what site(s) she is building, what she is doing to promote the site/product, and the details of the results such as traffic and income.
I think this will be a great learning experience, as well as a profitable one for her. BUT... ...

A NetPassiveIncome reader asks,
hello! good day! i always receive messages about your journey in making passive income through the internet. i am also interested but i am not sure where to begin and how to begin. can you tell me how or where to begin? i really would appreciate your help. God bless you and more power.

With Rosenel's permission, I've posted the question above because I feel like it's such an important and frequently asked question that deserves a blog post of its own.
If you are just starting out on the online passive income journey, I highly recommend you LEARN and PRACTICE developing and marketing information products.
In order to succeed in this avenue, you need to have the heart of a teacher. If you suck at teaching, keeping LEARNING and PRACTICING - funny to tell teachers to learn and practice, isn't it? :)
So, what are information products, and how do you develop and market them? ...

A major portion of my online income comes from affiliate sales - commission from selling other people's products.
One example is Hostgator's web hosting service. Yesterday I noticed that my 125 x 125 banner ad for Hostgator (you can see this on the sidebar) isn't showing up. I tried clicking on the link and it didn't redirect to Hostgator. Something's wrong.
Luckily Hostgator also contracts with Commission Junction for their affiliate marketing, so I quickly switched my links to CJ's tracking URL and commissions starts to flow in nicely again - phewww....
Now I just got to wait for a response from Hostgator's affiliate team to see about this issue - I reckon this is going to piss off a lot of their affiliates due to loss of sales.
BUT, I'd like to take this incident as an important ...

Alright, so I haven't been blogging on NetPassiveIncome.com for a while, and bad things happen to me:
1. I lose readership - Everyday my inbox is filled with WordPress notification emails saying that I have new comments to moderate. But guess what, they are all spam comments! I used to love these emails, but now I hate them.
2. I lose search engine ranking - NetPassiveIncome.com used to rank in page 1 of Google for the keyword "passive income." Now, it got pushed over to page 2! Thanks to all the other passive income blogs - I hope you enjoy the free traffic you are getting, for now
3. I lose affiliate income - I've enjoyed the passive commission from the program Niche Profit Classroom that I recommend on this blog, up until last month (May, 2011) where I see a drop off in membership renewal. I could blame it on attrition rate, but the fact is that I'm not selling more memberships to it.
So, here is what I'm going to do about it: ...

Wow, it's been a while since I posted - or at least feels like it!
When I logged into my WordPress Dashboard (start your own WordPress blog) I was pleasantly greeted by 10,265 comments that are being held for moderation:

So, I have Captcha From ProtectWebForm plugin installed and I haven't figured out if it's broken, or the spammers got an automated software that solves captchas.
What I can gather is that there will be a burst of comments coming in, one comment for each of my blog post. Although each comment has a different IP, it appears to be automated based on the timestamp (or the marketer hired people in India to do this manually, no stereotyping intended).
In any case, I want a quick way to ...

Okay, I'm about to do something really stupid and might regret doing so - I just know it. So jump on this before I change my mind.
Below is a list of domain names that I do not intend to keep or develop on (truth is I've got too many domain names that are just sitting in my account than I know what to do with them), and their renewal date is coming around (2/1/2011).
Some of them I have kept for years, so domain age alone is of value. On top of that, some domains are great keyword domains (especially the HOW TO BUY ones).
Alright, so here is the deal - if you see something you like, or can use for an immediate website project, then all you need to is ask and stake your claim!
Here is how: ...
